Oppo is the ‘parent’ company of One+; or however the Chinese structure their “not-state-owned” industrial conglomerates.

Camera tricks aside, that phone looks almost exactly like the new One+ devices. And, I’d honestly rather than a notch, a ‘chin’, and camera bump on the back than a phone that is entirely screen.

My thoughts below; I could very well be wrong.

One+ is better, thought neither are known for their after-sale support of their devices. I have the One+ 5, and it’s been a good phone thus far. One+ has been improving their support for sold devices significantly over the last year.

If you are comfortable rooting an Android phone on your own, or doing all the research to support a device yourself, then an Oppo phone is probably a solid purchase.

If you want more factory support, then I would go with One+ instead.

Obviously, getting a Samsung or Apple phone is going to get you the most support and updates. Thought Samsung is still at times less than perfect when it comes to updates for their devices.

All I want is a Nexus 6P with more battery capacity and a beter camera, is it too much to ask? That phone was downright perfect for me... until it failed

Get the newest One+ device then. They ship basically stock Android. It would have a great camera. And they have plenty of battery power.
